Line of Events

In a prison where prisoners are fed on a descending platform, those on the upper levels take more than their share while those on the lower levels are left to starve on scraps, and one man decides to change the system. The film was shot chronologically because Iván Massagué had to lose 12 kilograms (26 pounds) over the six weeks of filming to show his physical deterioration. When the characters are on the platform, it does not move down as fast as before. Goreng: The people up there don’t listen to me. Imoguiri: Why not? Goreng: I can’t shit up. Featured on FoundFlix: The Platform (2020) Explained (2020). The plot idea is interesting and the film is effective and powerful, but the ending left me a bit confused and disappointed.
